| it's official. after much aggrevation (and a good dose of absence) i've made the switch. i have a new blog. it's not really a family-picture-focused thing...more of a creative outlet slash sounding board. for now i will keep xanga around in case i decide to post things other than pictures on facebook. AND you will still have access to the recipes that can be found here. the new blog is www.mommagoescrazy.blogspot.com

if you haven't been watching this show, go to hulu.com and make your way through the first 4-5 episodes. great show, great overall goal, great cooking. and, while i've got you listening and obeying my every command, go sign the petition so better food will be offered to public school kids across the US. then, teach your kids how to cook...real food. REAL. FOOD. now i'm hungry...and wishing iron chef america was still available on hulu. | | |
| we celebrate "earth day" everyday, but when i saw "national jelly bean day" on a calendar a few weeks back, i knew we had a new holiday on our hands! i got up early to go get jelly bellys before andy left for work. it's not every day i have an excuse to consume one of my favorite sweets!! plenty of juicy pear beans for the day. :)

| great inventor, responsible for 1,093 US patents, also left us with some profound quotes: Discontent is the first necessity of progress. Hell, there are no rules here - we're trying to accomplish something. I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. The value of an idea lies in the using of it. Genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.I never did a day's work in my life. It was all fun.If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves. Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Nearly every man who develops an idea works it up to the point where it looks impossible, and then he gets discouraged. That's not the place to become discouraged. Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.www.thomasedison.com | | |
